Aston Martin Virage......?

In the run up the the Geneva Motor Show in March, carmakers are releasing a whole slew of cars and concepts to tantalise our tastebuds.

Aston Martin pulled off a bit of a surprise by unveiling the Virage this week, but after the shock died down, some of us ended up more confused than excited.

I mean, look at it. It looks exactly the same as every other Aston Martin currently on sale.

Aston Martin says that the Virage slots in between the DB9 and the DBS, but the question is, why? Those two are already very similar to each other as it is. I'll be very thankful if anyone can point out any styling differences between those three cars, because I sure as hell can't.

Then there's the Vantage, which is the same design but smaller, and the Rapide, also the same design but with two more doors.

Aston Martin's styling direction is now bordering on the bizarre. How long can they keep churning out cars that basically look the same? Sooner or later buyers will just get confused and forget about them.

basically Aston has only one architecture (VH) and they're trying to squeeze as much as possible out of it. I'm surprised too that basically everything is the same, even the interior! I guess the Middle Eastern backers don't want to put too much capex into this low volume manufacturer?
