Volkswagen has released a new set of accessories for its best selling model, the Golf. Of more interest to most Golf aficionados is a new aerodynamic package, which includes slightly redesigned bumpers, side skirts and a larger roof spoiler. In addition to making the Golf look sportier, VW claims that these new components improve the car's aerodynamics.

Other accessories for the Golf's exterior include two new sets of 17 inch alloy wheels painted in different hues of silver - the 15-spoke “Silex” and the 5-spoke “Onyx”. For the interior, Volkswagen's aftermarket division offered a carbon-look 5 piece decorative trim. The parts are destined for the instrument panel and door panels.

Volkswagen Accessories also offered new gears for utility purposes. A roof box is available in three different sizes that use the DuoLift system, allowing opening and loading of the roofbox on both sides. Another accessory is the luggage compartment tub made of washable plastic which can be divided into different sections according to user requirements.

I have been a car fanatic since 1989, when my father was changing our family car then to a Toyota Corolla 1.6 GL fitted with a Twin Cam 16 valve engine that was carburetor-fed, a big deal back in those days. The automobile technology and industry fascinates me and I hope to broadcast these interesting developments to everyone out there through this blog.
