If you’re puzzled as to why they’ve found themselves in an Infiniti and not in a Renault (with the brand being the supplier for their F1 engines), as off a few months Infiniti inked a sponsorship deal for RB’s Formula 1 endeavors.
Both drivers take the helm of different variants of the same model line and attempt to best each other in and out of the unforgiving corners of the famed track and on the straights.
The Nordschleife used to be the German destination for the Formula 1 circus in the 80’s but after being deemed too dangerous for open-wheel racing, they decided to move the sport away from the 20.8km track.
While the track is still popular with the various international brands in their efforts to sort out their sports variants and to set the fastest lap times, the Nordschleife has fallen on some hard times with the controlling company threatening to close it down after their effort to attract more visitors to the area failed miserably even with significant investment.
That sad story aside, how do you think the Infiniti drive for both drivers ended?
While most would have ended the video with both drivers getting out of the vehicles, taking off their helmets and walking with their arms around each other with a warm smile on their face, the directors decided instead to play on that whole feuding rivalry that the team mates have been synonymous with in the past few seasons and left us hanging.
