Based on the LP560-4, only 30 units of this track special version have been made. They are powered by a 562bhp 5.2-litre V10 coupled with a six-speed e-gear paddleshift transmission and race-spec suspension. Thanks to a stripped-out interior and significant use of composite materials, it tips the scales at a mere 1,300kg ,which is 110kg lighter than the standard car and 40kg down on the special-edition, feather-weight Gallardo Superleggara. It also gets a whole host of aerodynamic tweaks, with a big wing at the rear and a ground-hugging front splitter. The Frankfurt show star will follow the same formula, with a lower kerb weight than any road-going Gallardo before it. In addition, aggressive good looks is almost guaranteed and, potentially, additional power from its V10 engine.
The ultimate Gallardo is expected to complete the century sprint in mere 3 seconds, going on to a top speed of 210mph. The show car is expected to be painted in bright red with limited production. This is what I call going out with a bang!
