A Hyundai employee has allegedly leaked photos of the 2012 Genesis Coupe from the factory floor. From the photo, the model adopts a new front fascia which mimics the Veloster, a ventilated hood and restyled headlights. The existing model looks more aggressive in my opinion but look is subjective.

Additionally, the facelifted model is reported to receive new door mirrors, metallic window trim and LED tail lights. From the photo, the revised coupe seemed to get a stripe of LED lights just above the fog light. The interior will get an updated infotainment system and a revised center stack.

Engine options are rumored to include an upgraded 2.0 liter 4 cylinder unit and a revised 3.8-liter V6 with 333 hp and 291 lb-ft of torque. The current 2.0 turbocharged engine shares many components with the Mitsubishi Evo X. Both engines are the result of the Global Engine Manufacturing Alliance, a joint venture among Hyundai, Mitsubishi, and Chrysler. Perhaps, it is timely that the Genesis Coupe gets a new heart in the form of the direct injected, 274 hp, 2.0 turbo power plant from the Hyundai sonata.

The 2012 Genesis Coupe could be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show. There are rumours that right-hand-drive version of the hot hyundai could be available for sale in RHD markets as early as 2012. Keep our fingers crossed.

  • Is 'tiny living' really irrelevant in Singapore?

I discussed the possibility of living in tiny houses in Singapore in an earlier blog post. But as we know, it isn't an option to begin with – no thanks, of course, to our lack of land space.  Someone also pointed out that the idea of tiny houses is "romanticised" – which, I don't deny (but hey, that's why it's a dream). While it's clear tiny houses aren't going to work out here, the concept of 'tiny living' is; not just physically but also mentally. Anyone who has lived enough years lo
