It looks chunky too, especially the backrest recliner adjustment knob (where an 'Abarth' logo is displayed). I suppose this is a new place for seat designers to focus on nowadays. It used to be how much of a 'butterfly' or shoulder support these seats have or how that part is designed but now they've focused on the chassis or the frame of the sports seat itself. It also gets the '695' badging stitched on the headrests for good measure.
Having looked at a standard Abarth 500 and also the 500 Esseessee recently I'd say the new seats makes the new 695 Competizione something to drool about. The standard Abarth seats are only slightly bolstered compared to these seats.
The seats are cool looking and do note that the Abarth 695 Competizione is strictly a two seater. Note the half cage at the rear. A mini Renault Megane R26?
The seats can also be found in the newly launched Fiat 500 Cabrio Italia and also the Fiat Punto Supersport both pictured below.
