Bugatti is paying homage to its founder, Ettore Bugatti, by presenting a custom yellow/black themed Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport at the 2012 Qatar Motor Show (25-28 Jan 12). The “bumblebee” color combination is Ettore Bugatti’s favorite colors and demonstrates Bugatti’s tradition of creating unique cars with different color schemes and materials.

The one-off Grand Sport has a horizontal color split with a bright yellow body encased in black carbon. The wheels are black-tinted as well to blend in with the color theme. On the inside, the seats are finished in a yellow-colored leather with black stitching while the center console is trimmed in black carbon. The dashboard, steering wheel and gearshift are wrapped in black leather with yellow stitching.

This customized Bugatti supercar carries a price tag of €1.58 million, which is €0.18 million more expensive than the standard version. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport is the world’s fastest and most powerful open-top car. It is powered by a 8.0 litre, quad-turbocharged W16 cylinder engine generating 987 bhp. This allows the car to reach a top speed of 431km/h.

This special edition Grand Sport is only limited to 150 production units only, of which 45 have already been taken up. Those who are interested to grab a unit, do make a dash down to Wearnes Automotive today to make your enquiry!

I have been a car fanatic since 1989, when my father was changing our family car then to a Toyota Corolla 1.6 GL fitted with a Twin Cam 16 valve engine that was carburetor-fed, a big deal back in those days. The automobile technology and industry fascinates me and I hope to broadcast these interesting developments to everyone out there through this blog.
