In the internet age, it is getting very difficult to hide secrets from the public. Politicianís private lifestyle gets exposed and images of pre-launch car model flood the world wide web. After Kia has released teaser sketches of the all new K9, the car was filmed in all its glory on a highway in South Korea.

Although the video is not in High Definition, it gives us a clear view of the front and rear styling. As mentioned in my previous article on the K9, it bears styling cues from the very successful BMW 5 series. However, according to Kiaís Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer, he once admitted in an interview that the K9 will have styling inspired by the Maserati Quattroporte but I canít see the resemblance.

The new Kia flagship model is based on its parent companyís Hyundai Genesis. Engine line will most likely include a 3.8L V6 with 333 bhp; 4.6L V8 with 385 bhp and a 5.0L V8 that churns out 429 bhp. The Kia K9 is expected to be revealed for its domestic market during the fall of this year. The rear-wheel drive model will be launched in Kia's domestic market towards the end of first half of 2012.

I have been a car fanatic since 1989, when my father was changing our family car then to a Toyota Corolla 1.6 GL fitted with a Twin Cam 16 valve engine that was carburetor-fed, a big deal back in those days. The automobile technology and industry fascinates me and I hope to broadcast these interesting developments to everyone out there through this blog.

The only resemblance to the Maserati family is perhaps the giant tiger grille.
