Lamborghini opens dealership in Mumbai

The Italian-based supercar manufacturer, Lamborghini, has recently opened its second dealership in Mumbai, India. The dealership is located in Prabhadevi and is being run by the Raging Bull’s partner in Mumbai, Auto Hangar. The new Mumbai showroom will host the company’s two models, the Gallardo and the latest Aventador.

The showroom had a special opening ceremony, which was graced by none other than the President and CEO of Lamborghini, Mr Stephan Winkelmann. Mr Stephan flew in to Mumbai especially for this event.

“Lamborghini recognized the potential of the Indian market very early on, and we’re delighted to now open our second dealership,” said Stephan Winkelmann. “Our international brand is highly recognized and respected here, and demand for our cars is growing in line with the expanding Indian economy. Our cars evoke emotion and passion: they are the objects of dreams. Delivering on that image and expectation is Lamborghini’s focus throughout the world, just as it is here in Mumbai.” He added that the brand plans to sell around 50 cars per year by 2015 in India. Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad are identified as potential expansion markets.

Lamborghini has already received up to 11 pre-bookings for the 6.5-litre V12 Aventador in India, with two units slated for Mumbai. The new showroom will accommodate the entire range of Lamborghini line up and will house exclusive merchandise and accessories.

Lamborghini was the first supercar brand to establish itself in the Asian country, with the opening of the New Delhi showroom back in 2006 with partner Exclusive Motors.

In the land where 70% of the population goes without enough food and proper water sanitation in their country, there goes another ridiculous decision to feed the rich even more. I doubt Lambo Mumbai does its CSR duties, but seriously, the Indian government gota shoot themselves in their own head.
