These are the first official photos of the Mercedes-Benz F800 Style 'four-door coupe' study, surfaced ahead of the concept model's debut at the Geneva Motor Show on March 2.
The new concept model serves two purposes. Firstly, it samples Mercedes-Benz's new and more dynamic design language that will be first applied on the next-generation CLS sports saloon that is expected later this year. The bumper seems to adopt the 'melting' design seen on the Volvo XC60, which I quite fancy personally. The F800 concept is also believed to preview a smaller brother to the CLS.
Of course, don't expect to see the concept model's rear-hinged sliding doors or the uber-futuristic interior making it to production.
Two powertrain options are considered for the F800 Style study: a fuel-cell system with lithium-ion battery pack and a rear-mounted electric motor or a gasoline-electric hybrid drivetrain.
