Most of us love to drink coffee and some of us (including me) just need to drink it in the morning just to give us a jolt. For drivers who need something like that, wouldn’t it be great if we could have a coffee machine in our rides so that we can enjoy a cup of coffee without stopping anywhere, just to buy one and waste precious time?
Now you don't have to worry about wasting time buying coffee because the Fiat 500L will be the first car to have a fully integrated in-car coffee machine as an option. Yes, you are reading this right; an in-car coffee machine.
The system was designed in cooperation with famous Italian coffee-machine producer Lavazza, using the company's convenient "A Modo Mio" pod system.
The coffee maker integrates perfectly into the passenger compartment, free of power cables and including a dedicated set of accessories to keep the interior neat and tidy, including a spoon holder, pod dispenser and sugar container.
Fill the Lavazza 500 base with water and pop it into the centre cup holder. The heating element boils the water, steeping the coffee-filled pod in the top part and, seconds later, you have a piping hot cup of brew. It is rumoured that the coffee kit will cost future owners an extra €250.
The Fiat 500L was recently launched to the media in Turin and will be on sale in most parts of Europe by the end of the year. I wonder whether the local market will get this option, when the car gets released here.
