From the sketches, the new Forte seems to adopt a sloping roofline that is commonly found in the so-called "four-door coupe" models. The high window beltline adds to the car’s sporty profile although it may reduce the all-round visibility of the car. The front fascia proudly displays the brand’s signature 'Tiger nose' while the rear light combination bears reminiscence of those found on the larger Kia Optima K5.
Kia plans to unveil the new Forte globally by end of 2012 and will go on sale in its domestic market this year as well. The export version will be available for sale by the first quarter of 2013. My only wish is that the 1.6-litre T-GDI lump in the Veloster Turbo will find its way underneath the hood of the new Forte. Then, the tiger-faced saloon will run as fast as it looks.
