Formula One giants Ferrari will showcase an exhibit briefing us through its history from the 5th to 24th September at the Marina Bay Sands. The exhibit will highlight the marque’s beginnings from 1929, when it was founded by Enzo Ferrari, till today’s transformation into a highly successful and iconic sports car manufacturer and formula one team.
The highlight of the exhibit will be on the 18th September, where the new Ferrari flagship, the F12berlinetta, will be on display for the first time in Singapore, at Level 1 of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
Here’s a refresher, the new V12 slings the F12berlinetta to a 100 km/h in just 3.1s and can hit 200km/h in a brisk 8.5 seconds. Despite the mind blowing performance, fuel consumption has been reduced by 30%, with CO2 emissions of just 350 g/km.
There are more goodies for the Ferrari Tifosi’s as Ferrari will host the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli support race during grand prix weekend. Thirty-Two 458 Italia’s powered by a 4.5-litre 570bhp V8 will race around the Singapore Marina Bay Street Circuit split under two categories - the Coppa Shell for novice drivers and the Trofeo Pirelli for the more experienced.
The five-stage APAC series kicked off in Japan back in March and visited China and Malaysia before concluding in Singapore. A final sixth leg will see all divisions from APAC, Europe and North American teams competing for the world title. Considered one of the crown jewels of the formula one calendar, Singapore hosts the race for the fifth time this year and if rumours are to be believed we might see an extension agreement to get signed in September.
