The BMW 3 series is a remarkable and highly successful car line that dates back to the legendary BMW 2002. While the current F-30 3 series, in its sixth generation, looks largely different to the 2002 or the E21 3 series, a tuning company in Hungary decided to pay homage to the E30, which celebrates its 30th birthday this year.
TMCars design have conceived a body kit that could modernize any existing E30 stock car that is stylish enough for the ‘i’ crowd yet does not stray away from the original. Aptly titled the TM concept30, the company claims three main “character” lines have been kept.
The shoulder line from the headlamps along the sides to the tail lamps. The line on the lower side which connects the front intakes with the exhaust outlets. The wide body line which shapes the front and the rear bumpers that also runs finely on the profile.
The concept30 was designed to run in limited production numbers that consists of 12 pieces that could either replace or attach to any E30 coupe. There are two variants to the bodykit, namely street and race.
The street version retains the glasshouse and roof, while its wheel arches are designed to accommodate the original suspension fitted with slightly wider wheels.
The race version, retains keeps the glasshouse as well but adds a wider C-pillar like the first-generation M3. The wheel arches are custom to fit any suspension and wheels. Both variants feature the Audi-like trapezoid LED lamps, the sharper styled kidney grille with black dividing inserts and the equally modern tail lamps.
TMCars will produce the bodykit pending customer interest to the project.
