"When we raided the premises, the women panicked. Some even tried to hide in the storeroom. Four men, believed to be the operators and caretakers, were also detained," he said.
During the raid, nine Vietnamese women of age between 18 to 28 were arrested. The women were found to have violated their social visit passes and had been working without permits. Further checks revealed that only Chinese patrons are allowed to enter, which sounds puzzling.
Selangor police had conducted 4,220 raids from January to end of August 2012. A whopping 90.7% of the women arrested for illicit sex trade are foreigners.
