The rumoured new Clio Williams is said to be ready some time in the second half of 2014 after the Renault Clio RS 200 completes its life run. The new Clio Williams will be offered in an exclusive dark blue paint work and contrasting gold wheels, just like the original car.
The car will most probably get a better suspension system than the Clio RS 200 (second image from top) as it is seen as a range topper for the Clio model. And its chassis is similar to the one used in the Renault Clio Cup cars. As mentioned above, Williams had nothing to do with the original Clio Williams car except for the model name. It is not known if Williams will have anything to do with the new car.
Engine wise, the next Clio Williams will get a more powerful unit than the 200bhp Clio RS 200. It is rumoured that the power figures for the car is around 220-230bhp and the engine will be the same 1.6-litre four cylinder turbocharged unit. That means the car will get some extra goodies, probably in the form of a different engine tuning or even a slightly larger turbo.
Interior and body wise, right now we can only imagine that the car will get some Williams badging and a unique bodykit to differentiate the car from the rest of the Clio range.
