At the recent 2012 Paris Motor Show, Ford showed the world the face-lifted Fiesta hatchback. Now, the blue oval brand revealed its sedan cousin at the 2012 Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil.

Like the hatchback version, the Fiesta sedan sports an Aston Martin-inspired grille. The revised car has narrower headlights and newly styled taillights. Although no interior images were released but one can expect changes made to the instrument cluster, steering wheel and door panels for the 2013 Fiesta hatchback to feature in the sedan version as well.

Detail regarding the sedanís engine specification was not released, but it would be a safe to assume that the 1.0-liter EcoBoost lump will make it under the sedanís hood too. The Ford Fiesta is currently in its sixth generation.

One of the production facilities for the Fiesta sedan is located in Rayong, Thailand. The plant serves the domestic market as well as the ASEAN region. I am puzzled why the Fiesta sedan is not offered for sale in Singapore. It could be a good alternative to other budget sedans such as the Toyota Vios or Kia Forte. (Oppos, perhaps there is no such thing as a budget sedan in Singapore anymore)

I have been a car fanatic since 1989, when my father was changing our family car then to a Toyota Corolla 1.6 GL fitted with a Twin Cam 16 valve engine that was carburetor-fed, a big deal back in those days. The automobile technology and industry fascinates me and I hope to broadcast these interesting developments to everyone out there through this blog.

CAT A is dominated by a C Class, VW 1.4TSIs. it is already tough to compete in this segment. If BMW launch the 1.6 turbo 1 series, the 3 brands would practically corner the market.

To Newkid, BMW already had the 1.6 turbo 1 series. Are you sleeping?
