Hyundai collaborates with SM Entertainment to create music dedicated to new models

Hyundai has tied up with SM Entertainment, one of the largest music recording and production companies in Korea, to produce a music album to promote the company’s new models in Europe. These songs draw inspiration from all new i40, new generation i30 and Veloster.

The established stars on the album include BoA, Jessica from Girls' Generation and Taemin from SHINee The album includes electronic pop, dub step and other genres. The i40 theme song, ‘LOOKIN’, is sung by BoA while Jessica recorded the I30-inspired song, ‘My Lifestyle’.

Mark Hall, Marketing Director of Hyundai Motor Europe, commented, “As K-pop continues to reach new levels of popularity, we are very happy to be involved with such a dynamic and vibrant music scene. This innovative collaboration, the first of its kind for us, demonstrates the ‘new thinking’ and ‘new possibilities’ that are at the heart of the Hyundai brand.” Hmm… I wonder how many European consumers understand what message behind the lyrics of these songs.
