These are the first leaked images of the production version of the 2014 Toyota Corolla. They seemed rather believable, sporting the new corporate fascia with styling cues borrowed from the Furia Concept.

Compared to the Furia concept, the supposedly road-going model has a more “traditional” front bumper and the integrated exhaust pipe design has been removed. The slender tail lights of the Furia concept have been thickened in the production version as well. The car will measure approximately 4620mm long by 1805mm wide by 1425mm tall.

Toyota states that the 2014 Corolla sedan will put greater focus on younger customers, both in terms of design and equipment features. The 11th generation of the world’s best-selling car will reach the U.S before end of 2013. This means that we can expect the new Corolla to arrive at our shores by Q1 2014.

I have been a car fanatic since 1989, when my father was changing our family car then to a Toyota Corolla 1.6 GL fitted with a Twin Cam 16 valve engine that was carburetor-fed, a big deal back in those days. The automobile technology and industry fascinates me and I hope to broadcast these interesting developments to everyone out there through this blog.
