Despite slated for a 2015 release date, the NSX supercar – which has already been long awaited by fans of Honda and supercars alike - is now ready for pre-order. The shocking announcement came from Honda UK recently. To reserve one, all you have to do is deposit Ł5,000 (S$8000) of your savings and sign your name on the dotted line.

For your information, Honda UK also did the same thing with the former NSX which was made ready for pre-order one year prior to its launch in the UK. At that time, 25 pre-orders were recorded and that was quite a good reason for the company to do the same thing with its latest supercar. As a matter of fact, the company has received 20 pre-orders for the latest Honda NSX supercar so far.

According to Phil Crossman, Managing Director Honda UK, his company was very pleased with the customers' massive enthusiasm towards the new NSX. Although the model isn't due until the next two years and that the price has yet to be announced, the number of pre-orders received is quite high already. Taking those facts into account, we have a good reason to believe that the new NSX will become one of the best selling supercars when it finally arrives in 2015.

In terms of powertrain, this latest NSX carries a direct-injected, mid-mounted V6 engine with AWD drivetrain. Also, you shouldn't have to worry about taking corners with this car, thanks to the negative torque sent to one of the front wheels by a unique two Electric Motor Drive Unit featuring bilateral torque adjustable control system.

Unfortunately, there is no word yet on when Honda will open the pre-order for the NSX for us in Asia.
