Opel's fireworks display at Wörthersee

Opel tried to steal the spot light at this year's VW annual event at Wörthersee. VW's arch rival distributed 6000 pairs of 3D glasses to unsuspecting attendees of the event. After the sun set, they were treated to an interesting firework display comprising of Opel Logos.

Most of the spectators seemed pleasantly surprised at the turn of events. I personally believe that Opel could have spent a bomb in planning the 'assault' on VW but I must say it is well worth the money.

The Wörthersee is an alpine lake in the southern Austrian state of Carinthia. The largest Volkswagen and Audi car show in Europe is held in the lakeside town of Reifnitz every year in the month of May since 1981.
