The last time we saw the Maserati Ghibli was at the floor of the Shanghai Motor Show. The new entry model for the Trident brand looked great under the special lighting conditions. However, a cars road presence can only be felt, well on the road.

The video above is captured while the new Ghibli is doing a commercial shoot in Rotterdam, Netherlands. We can hear the thunderous roar of its twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 emitting from the quad pipes. The Ghibli will certainly garner more attention on the road than class rivals such as the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6.

The Ghibli is available with two 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 producing 410bhp/550Nm of torque and 330bhp/500Nm of torque. The more potent version goes from 0 to 100km/h in 5.0 seconds while its lesser brethren does it in 5.6 seconds. Maserati is also offering a 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel for the Ghibli. The oil burner is good for 275bhp and 600Nm of torque while completing the century sprint in 6.3 seconds. This is the first time Maserati is having a diesel in its lineup.

I have been a car fanatic since 1989, when my father was changing our family car then to a Toyota Corolla 1.6 GL fitted with a Twin Cam 16 valve engine that was carburetor-fed, a big deal back in those days. The automobile technology and industry fascinates me and I hope to broadcast these interesting developments to everyone out there through this blog.
