Oettinger tunes the Volkswagen Golf R to give 394bhp

By Faiming_low on 23 May 2014 in Performance kit

Attached Image We recently tested the new Volkswagen Golf R and think that it is a well rounded ultmate hot hatch. But I guess there must be quite a few people out there that think that 280bhp is not enough, since Volkswagen is going to come up with a even hotter Golf in the future. Meanwhile, to satisfy those that want more power, they could get Oettinger to breathe some magic into their Golf R.

Attached Image So what do they have for you? How about 394bhp, 498Nm of torque, 0-100km/h in less than four seconds and a top speed of more than 280km/h sound? Pretty impressive in our opinion! For comparison sake, that is a whopping 114bhp more than the what came from the factory and this is the same power output of a current Subaru Impreza 1.6! Torque is almost twice of what a Golf Sport produces too.

In order to get such impressive numbers, Oettinger replaced the original turbocharger with a bigger one plus a new exhaust system and of course a remapped ECU. An optional high-performance brake system is also available to make sure it is able to rein in all that newfound pace.

Attached Image Aesthetically, Oettinger has given the Golf R a new front spoiler, new side skirts, a tailgate mounted spoiler and some new 19 and 20-inch wheels.

Since young, Fai Ming has always centered his life around cars. In fact his first word was 'car' and not 'mum' or 'dad'. Aren't kids cute?
