What happens when something goes wrong at nearly 600km/h

Attached Image At Mike Cook’s Bonneville Shootout 2014, George Poteet crashes his car aka 'Speed Demon' at nearly 600km/h. He escapes unscathed, highlighting the high standards in the construction of the Speed Demon.
 
Note how fast the markers fly past at that speed!
