This bridge is a truck killer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XP-ZvUOHPoThe East Street Railroad Bridge in Massachusetts, United States, offers a vertical clearance of just 10-feet-six-inches, and it's the bane of inattentive truck drivers around the region. Try to drive under with a vehicle that's too tall, and you'll end up with the world's fastest convertible conversion for your van.
According to sources, there have been dozens of crashes into this particular bridge over the years, including one as recent as August 24, which is Monday. The issue is often unskilled truck drivers who aren't familiar with their equipment and think there's enough room. There isn't. The lack of clearance isn't the only problem, either, because the road underneath the span also narrows, which can result in collisions.
The YouTube channel for the Westwood Police Department even posts videos of some of the crashes. The page has eight clips of accidents at the site since July 2014, including a truck carrying tons of lobsters mistaking the clearance and catching fire underneath. The clip above shows a moving van losing its top. At this point on Twitter, the authorities almost treat bridge strikes as a normal part of the day.
