Veyron successor to be faster says Bugatti

By Faiming_low on 27 Aug 2015 in New model

Attached Image Bugatti’s boss Wolfgang Dürheimer was quoted by Car&Driver, saying the successor to the Veyron will be a faster car. Said to be focusing all its efforts on the development of the new car, those who have been hoping for a SUV or a sedan from the brand will be disappointed.

“We strive to do everything with the next Bugatti remarkably better than the previous one. So there is not only one dimension we can push against. We need to push all of the dimensions that describe the car,” he said.

“For this reason, it’s going to be a big surprise - but I can tell already because I test-drove several of the cars - the new Bugatti will be the best supersports car on the planet, in all dimensions,” Dürheimer added.
Expect the car to be an improvement on both the road and the track.

It is also said that numbers for the performance figures will be announced soon.

Since young, Fai Ming has always centered his life around cars. In fact his first word was 'car' and not 'mum' or 'dad'. Aren't kids cute?

Which...forgive the epithet...idiot would ever hope for such a thing? Demand from arseholes like this is what has brought Porsche, and now Lambo down from their rarified pantheon of supercar purists.

Wouldn't mind seeing a Maybach/Bentley crushing V16 powered Royale II though.

Or a new Atlantic coupe along the lines of an oversized 21st century E31.

As far as SUV's are concerned, I am an advocate of road tax/COE cat etc by blardy vehicle height/volume instead of engine cc (which is already addressed by petrol duty).

I would very much agree with you but the rest of the world thinks otherwise judging by the rate of new SUVs being launched by almost every carmaker.

Thanks Faiming. I am aware of the popularity of SUVs (I have an MPV myself). But this is a Bugatti for crying out loud. SUVs and MPVs are utilitarian POSes, let the utilitarian marques stick to building them.
