BMW does a one-off M3 for Oktoberfest

By Faiming_low on 18 Sep 2015 in New model

Attached Image For this year's Oktoberfest, BMW M painted this M3 in 'Münchner Wirte' livery to show the company's ties with motorsport and the city of Munich itself.

Attached Image Using the legendary BMW M1 Procar from 1981 as a reference, the design of the livery features Bavarian-style façade painting and blue and white twisted cords. Also included on the livery are depictions of Munich landmarks (such as the Olympic Stadium, Siegestor, Frauenkirche church and BMW’s headquarters, a roast chestnut seller and the Wiesn-Schänke beer tent at the Oktoberfest.

Attached Image FYI, Walter Maurer painted the original BMW M1 Procar 'Münchner Wirte' race car by hand 34 years ago. The BMW M3 'Münchner Wirte' will be on display at BMW Welt during the Oktoberfest.

Since young, Fai Ming has always centered his life around cars. In fact his first word was 'car' and not 'mum' or 'dad'. Aren't kids cute?

Wunderbar! And it's perfectly legal to drink beer while driving this car, since it's an Oktoberfest tribute model after all! :D
