Racing firm builds one off Civic Type R wagon

By Faiming_low on 08 Mar 2016 in Modifications

Attached Image If you find the new Honda Civic Type R's boot space too small but still fancy the car, the guys at Synchro Motorsport might have the solution for you. The folks there, who describe themselves as "a voluntary team based at Honda's Factory in Swindon" have successfully transplanted a FK2 Civic Type R's engine and gearbox into a Civic Tourer.

Attached Image So what you have now in this menacing matt black wagon is the full 306bhp and 400Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, the six-speed gearbox and most of suspension bits from the Type R. We wonder how it drive as compared to the hatch...

To make sure the car looks as fast as it goes, the wagon also receives the full Type R front and rear look.

Sadly, Honda has no plans to bring this Type R wagon to life as a production car.

Since young, Fai Ming has always centered his life around cars. In fact his first word was 'car' and not 'mum' or 'dad'. Aren't kids cute?
