According to Auto News, a Europe publication, a draft of the rules has been drawn up and it is believed that it will rule out highway testing of autonomous cars which in turn will definitely delay development of such technologies by the local firms. It is also reported that the head of the automotive department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, She Weizhen, failed to announce when the regulations will be finalized and implemented at a recent forum in Beijing.
