Similar in concept with the Forester tS, the XV Hybrid tS will get a new front strut bar, new springs all around, plus a front flexible tower bar and draw stiffener. Outside, the car receives an STI-designed front spoiler lip, new 17-inch wheels and a new side skirts. The mirrors are now black in colour and the car has STI badging around it to remind the buyer he has bought something special. We are not sure we like the orange highlights on the car though.
Moving inside, the orange theme continues with the seats getting a black/beige/orange colour combo. Orange stitching can be found front and rear head restraints, as well as the beige door trim.
As for the powertrain, the car uses a 2.0-litre horizontally-opposed four-cylinder petrol engine that outputs 147bhp and 196Nm of torque. It is paired to a 14bhp electric motor that is fitted within the car’s Lineartronic CVT transmission and drives through Subaru's AWD system.
