McLaren's hardcore 688 High Sport leaked

blogentry-133713-0-05018900-1471150686_thumb.jpgAn even more extreme version of the hardcore 675LT has been leaked online. Spotted first on McLaren Life forum, the 688 High Sport is sold out.

According to some, the car has been delivered to some customers and only 25 units will be built.

 

Powered by the same 3.8-litre turbocharged V8 as its siblings, the engine has been enhanced to give up to 678bhp or 688ps as it names suggests. Weight has been cut by around 40kg.

 

Not much else is known about the car as McLaren has kept very quiet about it. From the photo, you can see more track oriented aero parts like the canards and the large roof air scoop, have been fitted to the car. It also has a fixed rear wing unlike the 675LT which can adjust itself according to the car's aero needs.
