blogentry-133713-0-32768000-1483498813_thumb.jpgMINI fans who want the best Cooper S variant will want the John Cooper Works (JCW) GP. The good news is that the car is already in the works but it won't be ready anytime soon.

Historically, it comes as an end-of-the-line model, which means buyers of the JCW GP will have a couple of years more to wait. Both generations of the previous JCW GP feature stripped-out cockpits with no back seats as well as upgraded engines, brakes, suspension and other parts to make them the hardest-core iterations of their base models.

In an interview with Autocar, MINI's chief, Peter Schwarzenbauer was quoted saying, “The John Cooper Works GP is an important part of the Mini brand. It has worked well for us in the past and I don’t see why it wouldn’t again in the future.”

For those who can't wait, the 'normal' John Cooper Works will have to do for now...
