The latest addition to the windows of Harrods is a car. Windows which were usually filled with high quality and stylish bags or other luxury items have now been taken over by the sensible Hyundai. Which one exactly? Its the new ix35 Crossover(Tucson).
That is the last thing I'd ever expect from Harrods. What ever happened to Louis Vuitton, Chanel or Gucci? Why not a Lamborghini Balboni or a Ferrari 458? The only consolation I can find is that its the premium version of the ix35 which is being displayed and staff members of Hyundai UK are on hand to answer any queries about the new car.
I think this is more good news to Hyundai than to Harrods; according to Hyundai's managing director in the UK, Tony Whitehorn, said that We are very proud to have our newest model on display in such an iconic location. Like everything in Harrods, the ix35 has been designed to be stylish, great value and of the highest quality. I seriously question the 'great value' bit about the stuff at Harrods.. but nonetheless the new ix35 does look good and it comes at a time where Korean cars are taking the lead over the Japanese in terms of their aesthetic design.
Despite the fact that Hyundai's are 'good value', why would people in the UK buy one when they can get much better cars (like BMWs or Jags) at much better prices?
Anyhow, I'd rather have a Lambo to oogle at..
