blogentry-133713-0-08575000-1496395088_thumb.jpgEarlier this week, we reported that Subaru is preparing to launch a BRZ that has been breathed on by STi. Now they want to launch a faster WRX STi.

As seen on Road and Track, the Japanese company will also be showcasing their more hardcore WRX STI Type RA, which is also set to debut on the 8th. Subaru has released a few details on the new car, promising "gearing and engine upgrades" and other niceties like a carbon roof and rear wing, new Bilstein dampers, and upgraded Recaro seats. It will also get the signature gold BBS wheels that measures 19-inches.

The first Type RA variant was only limited to the Japanese market and it went on sale in 1993. It was targeted at owners who wanted to take part in races, without having to go the extra mile to track-prep their cars and strip away unnecessary weight.

A sign of exciting things to come from Subaru? It sure seems so.

Why do car makers think a GT wing and a carbon fibre roof would get people excited? Is this what people call car pornography? Sad. Just sad.

It's anything short of revolutionary. It's predictable. It's a car. Sure, if you want to add the word "performance" in it.

adding a carbon roof helps improve the weight and the flex.

Else the next best thing to reduce weight is Carbon tub, but that means a suite of NCAP testing. Going Aluminum helps as well.

Having a big bookcase spoiler helps to shout out..look here ....Sports car ...

I now know what the acronym for RA stands for.

Record Attempt and I believe BRZ broke it. For the longest time of record attempt of disappointment. No Turbo for the boxer engine for BRZ

  • It's okay, you're just feeling ambivalent

I almost always struggle to describe my state of mind when asked to consider how I'm feeling. How do you express emotions that exist together but work in opposition to each other? When invited to join a gathering with friends, I delight over the prospect of catching up but also yearn to be lounging at home. I'm inspired by an accomplished co-worker yet envy her. I feel happy about a new beginning but nervous and, at the same time, sad over the closing of a chapter.  It's complicated. A
