Ford Performance shows off Drift Stick

By Faiming_low on 03 Nov 2017 in New technology, Modifications

Attached Image Ford Performance's the all-new Drift Stick has just been revealed. Enthusiasts will now be able to make handbrake turns like rally cars do.

Electronically controlled, the stick has been developed for the Focus RS and has been tested and approved by well-known drifter, Ken Block.

Attached Image Created by the same people responsible for the Drift mode in the hot hatch, the Drift Stick is basically an aluminum lever between the driver’s seat and manual transmission which opens the rear-drive unit’s clutches and applies hydraulic pressure to lock the rear wheels with a pull of the lever.

Owners of the Focus RS will be glad to hear that the Drift stick doesn’t require any modifications and is basically an electronic add-on, unlike a hydraulic handbrake. It also connects to the onboard diagnostics port of the car and acts as a professional calibration tool.

Sadly, the Drift Stick is only available to owners in America and Canada. It is priced at $999(S$1359)

Since young, Fai Ming has always centered his life around cars. In fact his first word was 'car' and not 'mum' or 'dad'. Aren't kids cute?
