Despite SUVs and crossovers the making the most money for most companies, McLaren does not plan to follow suit.

 

According to Carscoops, McLaren's Chief Designer, Dan Parry-Williams was quoted saying that crossovers don't fit the company's philosophy of "everything for a reason" unless "the reason is to clutter up the streets." He also said that "he isn't the first person to point out an SUV is neither particularly sporty or utilitarian."

 

Despite not having a SUV in its line-up, the company posted record sales last year with the bulk of its sales from the Sport Series, a.k.a the 570S and 570GT.
