Lexus IS 250 receive facelift

Thanks to some leaked brochure shots, here are the first pictures of the Japanese domestic market (JDM) version of the subtly refreshed 2011 Lexus IS 250 / 350 sedan.

The most notable exterior changes include the new headlamps that incorporate LED daytime running lights and the redesigned lower part of the front bumper with round fog lamps. Though not visible from these photos, the interior is said to benefit from some minor trim upgrades.

New for the JDM Lexus IS is the addition of an F-Sport grade, similar to the version offered on the UK market 2010 IS 250 and 220d models. However, in Japan, the F-Sport grade also gets a unique front bumper as well as a sport suspension developed by the LFA team.

Stay tuned for more information as Lexus releases the official details on the updated JDM Lexus IS sedan.

I have been a car fanatic since 1989, when my father was changing our family car then to a Toyota Corolla 1.6 GL fitted with a Twin Cam 16 valve engine that was carburetor-fed, a big deal back in those days. The automobile technology and industry fascinates me and I hope to broadcast these interesting developments to everyone out there through this blog.

sure it's a facelift?

I think it's more of a limited edition bodykit makeover that an "official" facelift.

Everyone is doing LED DRL. I like the Lexus one best. Audi was the first one to do LED DRL and I believe it was in the A8. But Lexus was the first one with LED headlights. Well, all I can say is that change was needed. Good job!
