Facelifted Kia K5 launched in Korea

By Faiming_low on 27 Jan 2018 in New model

Attached Image Kia's mid-size sedan, the K5, has been given a facelift. It is now available for sale in its home market with mostly cosmetic tweaks.

Attached Image From the front, the car receives a revised grill, headlights and a new bumper with integrated LED daytime running lights. The rear gets similarly mild changes including a new diffuser and tailights.

Attached Image New alloy wheels round up the list of visual updates on the outside.

Attached Image Inside, other than a new steering wheel design and ambient lighting, not much change can be spotted.

Attached Image Powertrain-wise, it seems like there isn't any change, with the car available with either a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol or a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol.

Since young, Fai Ming has always centered his life around cars. In fact his first word was 'car' and not 'mum' or 'dad'. Aren't kids cute?

Haha the 250hp GDI Turbo has been dropped from the Optima. Otherwise the Stinger can't sell.

Quite a pity for the Optima will be an even cheaper platform to enjoy that great turbo engine.

The 1.6 T-GDI would be a better buy than the Stinger 2.0 turbo.

More practical and spacious interior. The Stinger is  a lifestyle car and attracts a different target buyer group.

C&C should revive the Optima in its lineup.
