Gallardo number 10,000, in yellow “Midas” is destined for China and was celebrated during the ‘Lamborghini Day’ in Shanghai on 25th June, before being delivered to its owner (no idea whether the new owner is someone from China though). In the first event of its kind in China, Lamborghini will showcase eight cars from its super sports car range
The Lamborghini Gallardo has a V10 engine with all wheel drive. It has become the most successful Lamborghini model of all time. The original Gallardo was launched in 2003 and the model range was extended with Spyder (convertible) and Superleggera (lightweight) models as well as special editions such as the Gallardo SE, Nera and the 2009 LP550-2 Balboni (named after Lamborghini's famous, now retired, test driver).
Aside from the the current Gallardo LP 560-4 and the LP 560-4 Spyder, Lamborghini presented the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera, a lightweight version of the Gallardo LP 560-4, with a top speed of 325 km/h and acceleration from 0-100 km/h of 3.4 seconds.
Lamborghini is represented in 45 countries by over 120 dealers. As the brand is now owned by the Volkswagen Audi Group (placed as a subsidiary under Audi AG), their cars seem to be more drivable and usable than before. I believe that it is this makes Lamborghini more popular that it has ever been.
