As reported by Car Advice, Red Bull Racing team head, Christian Horner confirmed that the company is involved in a number of projects with Aston Martin.

Other than the Valkyrie and the track variant, Red Bull will be helping out Aston Martin in developing a mid-engine supercar that will rival the McLaren 720S and Ferrari 488 GTB.

Dubbed '003' the supercar is likely to be a hybrid and might use the current AMG-derived 4.0-litre V8 engine. The car is still far from being ready and is likely to only hit the roads in 2020.

Horner then went on to say that after the 003, the company 'will be looking at fourth-iteration and fifth-iteration cars as well.'

However, an Aston Martin spokesman was eager to stress that nothing beyond the 003 is an active project.
