Bugatti launches new glass roof option for Chiron
Bugatti has revealed the newest option for the Chiron. Called the ‘Sky View’, it is basically a fancier version of a normal car's typical sunroof.
Consisting of two fixed panels above the driver’s and passenger’s heads tha measure 65cm long and 44cm wide, the glass roof provides an additional 2.7cm of headroom in the car.
Bugatti says that the glass has been tinted for privacy and also to prevent dazzle effects. Occupants living in the sunnier parts of the world will be glad to know that the glass is always able to filter out UVA and UVB radiation.
In addition, it also "offers outstanding noise abatement", and doesn’t affect the overall stiffness or crash safety of the hypercar.
An example of the Sky View eqippued car will be shown a the Monterey Car Week, at the end of August in California.
The option is available with immediate effect but there is no word on how much it will cost.
