German tuning firm Abt Sportsline has developed a new package for the Audi A1. The car features an aerodynamics kit, updated exhaust, revised suspension, new wheels, and performance enhancement.

External upgrades on the car are available in either brushed aluminum, grass green or lavender. Each color corresponds to Abt's three new decór themes, namely Klecks, High-Voltage and Aloha. Parts available include a new front lip spoiler and side skirts, while rear updates include changes at the skirt, diffuser, and a new spoiler. The tuners also add on a new muffler with dual tailpipes as well as a new suspension. The company's Z Titan wheels may also be purchased as either 17- or 18-inchers.

Lastly and more importantly is the performance upgrade for the Abt A1. Engineers have tuned the 1.2-liter TFSI to deliver 115 hp while the output on the 1.4-liter TFSI is brought up to 150 hp from 122 hp. The 1.6-liter TDI engines are not left out, receiving an upgrade to either 110 or 125 hp.

I have been a car fanatic since 1989, when my father was changing our family car then to a Toyota Corolla 1.6 GL fitted with a Twin Cam 16 valve engine that was carburetor-fed, a big deal back in those days. The automobile technology and industry fascinates me and I hope to broadcast these interesting developments to everyone out there through this blog.
