July 25th 2010 marked the official opening of the showroom. The first M dedicated showroom and workshop opened in Singapore and what could also be the first dedicated M showroom in the world at this moment. As stated above, this dedicated showroom will only sell BMW M cars and M accessories. No bread and butter 320i, 520i, 118i or any of that stuff, but of course you could buy one at the Sime Darby Centre and spec it up with those M parts and accessories by heading over to Teban Gardens .
It is a historical moment for BMW as well as the progress of the local motoring retail sector. Hopefully there will be a steady demand for a dedicated high end stuff from a manufacturer as it is often seen that bread and butter models pull in the biggest bucks, especially in a country where car ownership costs are high.
Of course I wonder whether you could buy a 118i there and spec just some M stickers and logos. Would that be allowed?
