Quite a surprise this one. Never did anyone suspect that football powerhouse Brazil had any time to create a supercar. And now they have!
Well, apart from Ayrton Senna and Felipe Massa, there hasn't been much news about motoring or anything to do with cars in the South American party box. When you think of Brazil, you think football, coconuts, Gustavo Kuerten, sand, the beaches and last but not least, girls. Now, they've designed a car that probably looks as good as one of them. It looks unbelievably insane and what a creature it is. More like a legend! It produces 750bhp from a BMW V10 engine sourced from the M5 and M6 (which is now defunct) and has a top speed of 231mph on a 1300kg 'anorexical' body which is rather mind boggling. This legendary creature is called the Rossin-Bertin Vorax, quite a mouthful, but sounds cool anyway.
It will make its first appearance at the Sao Paolo autoshow and we'll see if the mystical animal really exists and will eventually be put into production. But for the time being, I just want to oogle at its greatness. This car may be as important to Brazil as General Ernesto Geisel who in 1974 started the process of re-democratization; it signifies a dramatic change in the supercar world as well.. That is of course if this thing truly will exist.
