And while everyone was awaiting the first production versions of the new McLaren MP4-12C, McLaren re-debuts the Mercedes Benz SLRs at the recent Essen Motor Show. The Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren, which production was supposed to have been officially discontinued sometime last year has made another appearance in this newly updated 25 unit limited series.

Somehow, McLaren, who used to build the SLR for Mercedes has now come up with 25 more units of the car and they are calling it the SLR McLaren edition. Not much imagination must have been used when naming the car from the looks of it.

The car features the same fabulous Supermarine Spitfire sounding 5.4liter supercharged V8 that has 620bhp and sports a new aerodynamic body kit, a modified steering rack as well as a different suspension setup. How different is yet to be seen. The color seems to be a glossy graphite gray.

No price details were made available as yet but if you missed your chance at wanting to own a brand spanking new SLR now's the chance. But if you were one of the guys who bought one thinking that you had bought the final, most sorted out and fastest SLR, then you must be cursing McLaren or Mercedes Benz for coming out with another batch of the car.

Whatever the case, you just can't keep a fabulous supercar down for long.

  • Is 'tiny living' really irrelevant in Singapore?

I discussed the possibility of living in tiny houses in Singapore in an earlier blog post. But as we know, it isn't an option to begin with – no thanks, of course, to our lack of land space.  Someone also pointed out that the idea of tiny houses is "romanticised" – which, I don't deny (but hey, that's why it's a dream). While it's clear tiny houses aren't going to work out here, the concept of 'tiny living' is; not just physically but also mentally. Anyone who has lived enough years lo
