By Deeq on 09 May 2018 in Other blogs

Attached Image President Vladimir Putin traveled to his inauguration on Monday for a new six-year term in a Russian-made limousine, ditching his old stretch Mercedes to send a patriotic message of self-sufficiency amid increased tensions with the West.

Putin, in power since 2000, wants Russia to reduce its dependence on imported goods and technology, a drive that has gathered pace since Russia was hit by Western sanctions.

The Nissan Fairlady Z from Tokyo Drift is on sale

By Deeq on 20 Dec 2017 in Other blogs

Attached Image A Nissan 350Z with a pretty impressive CV is up for sale in the UK.

It might not be to everyone’s taste, but this Zed has been modified to fit in with its fellow stars of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

The ‘Fairlady Z’ is claimed to be the actual car from the film, or one of two used for filming.

Driven by one of Tokyo Drift’s main antagonists, Takashi the Drift King, the twin-turbo V6 coupe has quite a lot of screentime.

McLaren P1 for the whole family

By Deeq on 08 Nov 2017 in Other News, Other blogs

McLaren is celebrating the fifth anniversary of the P1 in little ways — little, littler and littlest. Touting it as alternative-fueled, McLaren has announced a "foot-to-floor" P1 for the under-3-year-old set. It makes two pounding feet of torque. As McLaren says, "0-200 metres-per-hour acceleration entirely biscuit dependent."

They’re all owned by the giant Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft Group (Volkswagen AG) and many cars from SEAT and Volkswagen are built on mechanically similar underpinnings, or ‘platforms’. Does that mean their cars are essentially the same?

Richard Hammond has a modified wheelchair following Rimac wreck

By Deeq on 04 Jul 2017 in Other blogs

Richard Hammond is back behind the wheel after a nasty crash that he's lucky to have survived. While we say "behind the wheel," we're not really sure that a joystick-operated wheelchair qualifies.

It's not surprising that "The Hamster" has made a few modifications to his wheelchair. "The Grand Tour" host posted a video of his electric wheelchair and gave a brief tour of what's been done to make it even better. Notably, it features twin "scabbards" for Hammond's crutches for ease of access. 10/10 on usability, then.
