Japanese electronics manufacturer, Casio, widely known for their calculators and G-Shock range of watches are also partners/sponsors of the Red Bull Racing team. As such they have recently announced a new model in the Edifice line of analogue metal watches.

Since 2009 Casio has been an official partner for the Red Bull Racing team. The youthful image and energy of the team bundled with outstanding technology development capabilities was a perfect match for Casio and the Edifice brand concept.


Designed in collaboration with the Red Bull team, the limited edition EFR-520RB reflects on the youthful and vibrant image. The 520RB is based on EFR-520 with distinctive updates that clearly tell the limited edition Red Bull piece apart. The timepiece features a multi-layered watch face and a dynamic face design built from the concept of “Speed and Intelligence.”


The 520RB is adorned with team logo and the team colours in various places. The side buttons and dial edges are finished in blue, the small hand in yellow, and the second hand and outer edge of the disk hand are finished in red, similar to the cars of the team. A 1/20-second indicator at the 12 o’clock position rotates at high speed when in the stopwatch mode.


The collector’s item comes in box with a special stand that displays your timepiece, photographs of the team drivers and their RB8 F1 machine. The Casio Edifice EFR-520RB will retail for S$368.00 and is available now at all Casio G-Factory outlets and authorized dealers.

According to Casio, Edifice brand of watches are popular with the young, thanks to their full-featured stopwatch functions and unique face designs. Well the watch might come in handy for the upcoming F1 grand prix in Singapore or if you are a racing enthusiast and prefer a traditional analogue stopwatch to the current digital ones.
