Talk about technological advancements and Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars will tell you that this creation, the SLS AMG E-Cell, is the most technologically advanced car in its 125 year history.

The super car will be put into production in 2013 and instead of the conventional 6.3L V8 petrol powered engine, the SLS AMG E-Cell will have four electric motors which generate 392kW and 880Nm of torque. To put that into perspective, the Tesla Roadster which is not fuel cell powered but battery powered, produces 270Nm of torque and it already goes like a stabbed rat. Now the SLS E-Cell will reach a 100km/h from a standstill in 4 seconds. That is an incredible achievement for a car this size and weight.

So who said eco-friendly cars are boring?
