Japanese doctor filmed himself speeding in a Ferrari 458 Italia
A 50 year old doctor has been arrested in Japan after allegedly posting footage of himself speeding in a Ferrari 458 Italia. He is currently facing charges after the footage showed that he was driving at 124km/h in a 40km/h zone, according to the police. The video was filmed in April 2011 on coastal roads and highways in Fukuoka.
The man from Okawa (in Fukuoka Prefecture), was arrested after angry YouTube users apparently complained to the police. He reportedly said he "wanted people to understand the beauty of a Ferrari".
The six-minute video was filmed using a camera positioned behind the driver. I guess he unintentionally wanted people to understand how silly he was as well. I mean who goes around showing evidence of oneself breaking the law?
Police said they were tipped off about the video in May 2011 and began investigations, The Mainichi Daily News reports. According to the report, the police determined the speed of the car based on the distance covered and the time elapsed. If found guilty, he could face a six month jail sentence or a fine of up to US$1,220.
Cars aside, the above case also serves as a reminder to all of us to post responsible contents on the internet.
