German tuners Regula Tuning have released their pre-facelift Audi R8 tuning kit named - Grandoise. It is made of a material called aramid (aromatic polyamide) which essentially a type of a fiberglass alloy used in the aerospace and military industries for ballistic protection.

Right - so we have a supercar fit for Tony Stark when he is visiting the Middle East next time then. I am rather interested to know if military grade body kits could protect its occupants better in a crash. I mean they can dodge a couple of hand grenade's don't they?

The kit has transformed the already handsome R8 into an aggressive road monster. The new look complements the power.

The kit runs on 20 inch Oxigin wheels wearing 235/30 R20 at the front and 295/25 R20 at the rear. Performance modifications are limited but Regula tuning is offering a chip tuning for the engine up to 560bhp. The body kit is available for the V10 version, as well as V8 Spyder (from May 2010) and Coupe.

  • Is 'tiny living' really irrelevant in Singapore?

    I discussed the possibility of living in tiny houses in Singapore in an earlier blog post. But as we know, it isn't an option to begin with – no thanks, of course, to our lack of land space.  Someone also pointed out that the idea of tiny houses is "romanticised" – which, I don't deny (but hey, that's why it's a dream).
